Beginning May 19th, the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts hosts Art in Our Schools, its annual exhibition designed to celebrate the talents of Pittsfield’s public schools arts programs. This annual exhibition has continued its tradition for over a decade.
Art in Our Schools features the City’s creative talents and collective works featuring artwork from students in grades 6-12 at Herberg Middle School, Pittsfield High School, Reid Middle School, and Taconic High School.
Art in Our Schools kicks off with an opening reception at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts on Thursday, May 19th from 5 to 7pm. The reception is part one many other youth-themed events happening in collaboration for the first Third Thursday of the season. This event is free and open to the public. Come meet the artists as well as their teachers and enjoy their new work. The exhibition will run until Saturday, June 4th and the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts is open Wednesday-Saturday from 12pm-5pm.
